The
Joyful Noise Puppet Team was started seven years ago with a
handful of members. Since then, we have grown in
numbers. Our name comes from Psalms 100, Make a Joyful
Noise Unto the Lord.
Our Mission is to reach out into the community and spread
God's Word in a unique and creative way. God has
allowed us to do this, and we minister to all ages. We
have given God's Word to other churches inside and outside
of our town. We give God's Word for our church
congregation on the last Sunday of every month at both
services.
Another thing we do in the spring and in the fall is go to a
Regional Puppet Festival. The spring festival is in
Tinley Park, Illinois and the fall festival is in
Indianapolis, Indiana. These festivals are put on by
One Way Street Productions, a professional puppet company
that builds puppets and produces performance materials.
The festivals give us a chance to compete in front of other
teams, along with receiving constructive criticism and
praise. We also get a lot of new ideas not only from
attending the classes One Way Street provides, but also by
watching the other puppet teams in competition.
